Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using SplitTip Pro ("the app"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
SplitTip Pro is a tip calculator and bill splitting tool designed for personal use. You may use the app to calculate tips, split bills, scan receipts, and save your calculation history. You agree to use the app only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws.
Creating an account is optional. If you choose to sign in using Google Sign-In or email and password, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
SplitTip Pro offers a one-time premium upgrade ("SplitTip Pro Premium") available as a non-consumable in-app purchase through the Apple App Store. By making a purchase, you agree to the following:
The free version of SplitTip Pro includes core tip calculation and bill splitting features with certain usage limits. Premium features include expanded history, additional favorites, unlimited receipt scanning with line-item breakdowns, and data export. We reserve the right to modify the features included in each tier at any time.
The receipt scanner uses on-device optical character recognition (OCR) to detect totals and amounts. Results are provided as-is and may not always be perfectly accurate. You are responsible for verifying scanned amounts before using them for payments or tip calculations. We are not liable for any errors resulting from incorrect scan results.
If you sign in, your calculation history and favorites may be synced to the cloud via Google Firebase. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet. You use the cloud sync feature at your own discretion.
All content, design, code, graphics, and trademarks in SplitTip Pro are the property of the developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the app without prior written permission.
SplitTip Pro is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. Tip calculations and receipt scanning results are for informational purposes only and should be verified by the user.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data, inaccurate calculations, or incorrect receipt scan results. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app or in-app purchase.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app or your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete it at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
