SplitTip Pro ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by Scott Hardy. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Information We Collect

Account Information

If you choose to sign in, we collect the information provided by your authentication method:

• Google Sign-In: name, email address, and profile photo URL
• Email & Password: email address only

Sign-in is optional. The app is fully functional without an account.

Calculation Data

When you use the app, your tip calculations, favorites, and history are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. If you are signed in, this data may be synced to Google Firebase Firestore so you can access it across your devices.

Receipt Images

When you use the receipt scanner, camera images are processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Receipt images are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service. Scanned totals are stored locally like any other calculation.

Purchase Information

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment details. We only receive a confirmation of your purchase entitlement from Apple's StoreKit framework.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage tracking data
• We do not use advertising SDKs or display ads
• We do not collect device identifiers for tracking
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
• We do not use cookies or web-based tracking technologies

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase Authentication — for optional account sign-in. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Firebase Firestore — for optional cloud sync of your calculations. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Apple StoreKit — for in-app purchase processing. Apple Privacy Policy

Firebase Analytics is disabled in our configuration. No analytics data is sent to Google.

Data Storage & Security

Local data is stored on your device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms. Cloud-synced data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, which encrypts data in transit and at rest. Your Firestore data is isolated to your authenticated account and is not accessible by other users.

Your Choices

• Use without an account: All core features work without signing in. No data leaves your device.
• Delete your data: You can clear your history and favorites from the Settings screen at any time.
• Delete your account: You can sign out from Settings. To request full deletion of your cloud data, contact us at the email below.
• Camera access: The app only accesses your camera when you initiate a receipt scan. You can revoke camera permission at any time in your device's Settings.

Children's Privacy

SplitTip Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
